Certain types of mutations, such as changes in repetitive sequences (known as trinucleotide repeat disorders), cannot be detected through panel or exome sequencing. Such trinucleotide repeat disorders include, for example, Fragile X syndrome (FRAX) as well as certain neurological disorders such as Friedreich’s ataxia (FRDA), spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA), and Huntington’s disease (HD). For these disorders, we offer specific repeat testing.
